Cube Dash

About the Game

Cube Dash is a rhythm runner where a small cube races through a track full of spikes, gaps and platforms, all lined up with the beat of the music. You control one thing: when the cube jumps. Get the timing right and the level feels like a dance. Get it wrong and you're back at the start. It's a free browser game, so you can play online on desktop or mobile with no download.

It's short to explain and hard to put down. Most players fail the first level a dozen times before it clicks. Then they want to see the next one.

How to Play

  • The cube moves forward automatically at a fixed speed.
  • Press or tap to jump. Hold to keep jumping as soon as the cube lands.
  • Touching a spike or falling into a gap ends the attempt.
  • Reach the end of the track to clear the level.

Obstacles are placed on the rhythm of the soundtrack, so listening helps as much as watching. A drum hit often means "jump now."

Controls (desktop / mobile)

  • Desktop: Space, the Up arrow or a left mouse click to jump.
  • Mobile: tap anywhere on the screen to jump. Hold your finger down for repeated jumps.

Sound on is strongly recommended. Playing muted is possible, but much harder.

Game Features

  • 10 levels. Each has its own track, music and obstacle pattern, and they get faster and denser as you go.
  • Progress bar. A bar at the top shows how far through the level you got, so every failed attempt still tells you something.
  • Continue from checkpoint. After a crash, you can pick up from the last checkpoint instead of the very beginning.
  • Next level unlock. Stuck on one track for too long? You can open the next level and come back later.
  • Attempt counter. The game keeps count of your tries. Clearing a level on attempt 47 feels great.

Tips & Tricks

  • Use the music. Tap along to the beat before you even start. The jumps follow it.
  • Don't jump early. The most common mistake is jumping a frame too soon and landing on the spike's far side.
  • Learn in chunks. Use checkpoints to practice the hard section until it's automatic, then go for a clean run.
  • Hold for spike rows. On long rows of small spikes, holding the button is often safer than tapping.
  • Take a break. After twenty failed attempts your timing gets worse, not better. Five minutes away helps.

Cube Dash is about memory and rhythm more than reflexes. Each attempt teaches you a few more seconds of the track.
