Love Tester

About the Game

Love Tester: Check Your Mate is a small, cheeky compatibility game for anyone who has ever doodled two names in the margin of a notebook and wondered. You type your name, add the name of your crush, partner or best friend, and a glowing scanner runs the pair and hands back a love score. It's a free browser game, so you can play online on a phone or a laptop with no download and no sign-up.

Nobody should plan a wedding around the result, and that's the point. The fun is in the reveal: the scanner hums, the bar climbs, and you get a percentage plus a short verdict that can land anywhere from "just friends, sorry" to "book the venue." It works best with company, passed around a table at a party or shared in a group chat.

How to Play

There are no levels here, only rounds. Each round takes about ten seconds:

Enter the first name in the left field.
Enter the second name in the right field.
Hit the scan button and watch the meter fill up.
Read your score and verdict, then try another pair.

You can't lose. Test real couples, fictional ones, your cat against your dog, or yourself against three different crushes and see who comes out on top. The sillier the pairing, the better the screenshot.

Controls (desktop / mobile)

Desktop: click a name field, type with your keyboard, then click the scan button.
Mobile: tap a field, type on the on-screen keyboard, then tap scan.

That's the whole control scheme. If you can send a text, you can play.

Game Features

Animated compatibility scanner. Every pair gets its own scan, a percentage and a written verdict.
Round-based play. Your first tests start instantly. From the third pair onward, each new test opens as an extra round you unlock in a couple of seconds.
Secret Love Report. A bonus unlock that goes past the single number and gives a longer, more detailed read on the pair.
Works anywhere. It runs in the browser on desktop and mobile, so there's nothing to install.

Tips & Tricks

Try full names and nicknames. "Alex" and "Alexander" are different inputs, so you can get a different score for the same person.
Play it as a party game. Everyone guesses the score before the scan finishes. Closest guess picks the next pair.
Save the Secret Love Report for the big one. Use the bonus on the pair you actually care about, not on your houseplants.
Screenshot the verdicts. The short lines are half the fun, and they make great group chat material.
Don't take a low score personally. It's a game. A 12% match with your partner of five years is a story, not a warning.
